In ancient Greece, mimesis was an idea that governed the creation of works of art with correspondence to the physical world understood as a model for beauty, truth, and the good.
shortly mimesis is defined as imitative representation of the real world in art.
while I was in the process of imitating the beauty of the young girl sitting in the chair in front of me, I became aware that the flowers and leaves drawn in the drapery behind her were from the mimosa tree.
when I said out load mimesis & mimosa I laughed a bit ,hence I decided to call the painting "Mimesis with a young girl and mimosa ".
