Sam Rahamin

Sam

Rachamin is a Paris based painter and educator with a background in classical painting sculpture and drawing.

​

His art brings together traditional techniques and a contemporary outlook, he works primarily in  oil, acrylics, ink, charcoal and graphite.

​

Sam built art programs including workshops, tours and art lessons to make the art world more accessible for artists, painters and art lovers.

​

Some of the workshops are made particularly in order to solve the French bureaucratical obstacles standing in front of painters that wish to learn art in the traditional way of master copying.

​

Recipient of the 2017 Avigdor Arikha memorial master class scholarship,a 4 week stay  in italy  with the jss master class.

 

Art teaching:

 

2009-2013           Volunteered at - Absorption Center for Ethiopian New Immigrants (The Jewish agency), Mevasseret Zion as part of “big brother project” for 3 years, meeting twice a week for homework, games, and help in acclimating to a new country.

​

2010-2012           Counselor for a group of children-at-risk - Absorption Center for Ethiopian New Immigrants, Mevasseret Zion (The Jewish agency) –worked as an art teacher, teaching drawing and painting for children.

 

2013-2014           Yad Lebanim Association – art teacher

Taught painting and drawing to bereaved families

2018- Now  Teaching in my own workshops in Paris France

2018-2020 Guest artist and teacher at Postcard from Provence with Julien merrow smith.

2022 Teaching at Savoir Dessiner Paris.
