This is the biggest landscape painting I have created,
before panting it I made many preparatory sketches and premier-coups out in the lavender field near sault where I teach and paint with my students.
then I have brought back the alla prima's to my studio in Paris and developed them into one complete composition.
I have implemented old master techniques in order to create this painting, I have also built the surface (with wood) which the painting was painted on and have used archival materials with oil paints made with real pigments led white , cadmium, cobalt etc.
it is one of my most ambitious landscape paintings I have done in France.
