Oil on wood 61X52 cm.
Clignancourt road,is a painting I started as a premiere coup during this last summer, but the perspective, geometry and the architecture were so interesting I had to go back to the location over and over until it looked as beautiful as the road itself.
I took the spirit of the premier coup onto a prolonged painting.
I was afraid to become a cliceé "A painter painting in Paris" but in the end sentimentality is not determined by the subject matter, but by how you paint it!
