the tradition of painters who painted other painters is very common throughout history, painters inspired each other and helped push each other, sometimes they even disrupted and changed the direction of styles and sometimes invented their own.
painting other artists is an enrichment both for the painter and for the painted.
In this painting I painted the beautiful multi disciplinary artist Sandra Smadja wich is a friend and a free spirit , while she was posing for me we spoke about several different subjects, her approach to painting and art is a very different one then mine and yet it was a pleasure talking to her and learning about her.
I tried to catch the thinking intellectual yet seductive and philosophical Sandra I saw in front of me.
